Part of our two-pronged vision, we dedicate all our efforts to change mindsets and behaviors towards our very own aspins through our worthwhile activities, friendly collaborations and meaningful involvement in the community.

Mission
We are a stock & profit private corporation that offers the best services in the value-for-money packages, as we engage in healthy competition and harmonious co-existence with other players in the industry.

We are a registering club for purebred dogs committed to the upliftment and advancement of the Philippine canine industry. We work hand-in-hand with breeders, owners, handlers and animal welfare organizations to promote the sport in the country. preserve the purity of dog breeds and we steer the community towards the well-rounded education and eventually the profound and meaningful appreciation of our four legged friends.

History
The Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines, Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 7, 2008 as a stock corporation. The incorporators are: Paul Ryan Co, Bernardito “Berni” Jalandoni-Repalbor, John Irvin Uy, Rogelio de Guzman, May E.R. Criador, Felisa Ong Lim, Irene Teh, Desmon Ong, Miriam Cheng, Gloria, Quiambao, Ma Cristina Mancilla, Ramon Gloria, Erwin Carlo Go, ThelmaGo & Sachiko Kato On January 2008, it was also registered with the Department of Trade & Industry and on February 2008 the Quezon City government granted it apermit to operate. The Club was formerly launched on March 30, 2008 amid a lot of festivities that surrounded the ribbon cutting with messages of support from no less than the President of the Republic of the Philippines – Her Excellency Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Senate President – Sen. Manuel Villar Jr., Speaker of the House – Speaker Prospero Nograles, Cheif Justice of the Supreme Court – Chief Justice Reynato Puno Sr, Congressman – Rep. Carlos M. Padilla and Quezon City Mayor – Hon. Feliciano belmonte, just to name a few of the prominent people who backed the formation of the AKCUPI.. The Club Officially opened for business on March 31, 2008 with the head office at 316 Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. With what once started out as a dream, now is a reality, THE AKCUPI IS HERE TO STAY

At the helm of the AKCUPI is a professional team led by Bernie Jalandoni Repalbor, our President & CEO. Repalbor holds Bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Management and Business Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Repalbor has a vast exposure in the canine industry having served the four-decades old PCCI as Director for many years. He served PCCI in various capacities, either as chairman of the Administrative and Corporate Planning Committee, Finance and Budget Board, assistant corporate treasurer, co-chairman, Corporate Show Committee, member, Registration Committee, and member, Secretariat of PCCI Affiliated Clubs Committee under the chairmanship of Mr. Joseph Ong Chuan.. In 2007, he resigned as Director and Life Member of PCCI in order to head this organization.

He was involved in different dog clubs, either as chairman of the board, Labrador Retriever Owners Club (LROC) and Sporting Dog Club of the Philippines (SDCP), Adviser of the Beagle Fanciers Club and Phil-Siberian Husky Owners Club. He bred Labrador retrievers, golden retrievers, Dobermann’s, German shepherd dogs, Akitas, Rottweilers, Chow chows, Shih Tzu’s, and Miniature Pincher’s.

His professional career spanned over four decades, the bulk of which was spent at the country’s leading pharmaceutical company, United Laboratories, Inc. where he rose from the ranks and served as Manager in the Administrative Division. Before he became a member of the management team, he was cited consistently as outstanding employee, and later when he assumed the supervisory level, he was also recognized for his outstanding performance. He was awarded the Outstanding Manager of the Administrative Division for three consecutive years.

During his campus days, Repalbor was an active student leader. In the 60s, he was a political leader and strategist of some of the well-known and influential politicians like the late Vice-President Fernando Lopez, Leonardo Perez, Carlos Padilla, and Ramon D. Bagatsing. A well-rounded professional, Repalbor has skills in special training organization development, corporate planning, public and international and interpersonal relations, methods and systems, value analysis and engineering, market development, production planning, promotion strategy, general printing production management (under a Dutch Technician).

Repalbor’s affiliation with civic and sport organizations include the Manila Achiever Lions Club as president, Young Asian Club as president, Manila Dynamic Club as chairman of the board, and Philippine Amateur Judo Association, Inc. as director.
